UA Texture Editor v1.0

Yes, that’s right.  The title is correct.  You can now edit UA textures to create different colored vehicles and different color/style buildings!

Here is a preview, made by one of our newer members (SleepyGuy)

 

  1. Download the ZIP file here (http://forums.metropolisdawn.com/download/file.php?id=163)
  2. Extract files to C:\UABASEdit (or your own folder)
  3. Navigate to c:\program files\microsoft games\urban assault\data\set1\ (or any other set) and copy the SET.BAS file to C:\UABASEdit\
  4. Copy the SET.BAS file to C:\UABASEdit\
  5. drag and drop the SET.BAS file on top of UAVBMP.EXE (notice the .ILBM files being extracted into same folder)
  6. drag each ILBM file onto UACNV.EXE (notice new .ILBM.BMP files being created in same folder)
  7. Explore each BMP file and edit to your pleasing!
  8. open BASEdit.EXE, click the button to find the SET.BAS file at c:\program files\microsoft games\urban assault\data\set1\
  9. click the next button to find your newly edited BMP file
  10. choose the bitmap file you with to update from the combo box selector
  11. push the OPEN/SEARCH/REPLACE/WRITE/CLOSE button
  12. Take a screenshot and upload to the forum thread here
